"Doomed" revisited

I wrote this last July upon meeting the girl who would become my girlfriend for the next year. It was mutually understood that the long distance which separated us (she was on the East Coast, I live on Planet Boulder) would be our inevitable downfall, but ironically it's what kept us together (in that we could dismiss certain relational hiccups as "tricks of distance"). Alas, said relationship is no more, and I am once again in the position of seeking a new bio dance to play....
